WAS TNG is the Westport Astronomical Society's club for kids. TNG meetings are held on the third Friday of each month at 8 pm in the Fred Bump Education Center on the ground of the Rolnick Observatory. Kids and their families not only learn about Astronomy and Space, but have a lot of fun in the process. Meetings can feature; Speakers (kids or adults), Astronomy Games, Demonstrations, or Films.

TNG members elect their own officers and there are adult moderators. If skies are clear, the club telescopes are made available for viewing after the meetings, and adult members help kids identify stars, constellations nebulae, galaxies and clusters.
